The art of Ear Candling began with the domestication of the
honey-bee. Beeswax was- and still is- the key component of
the hollow candles used in this procedure. Other primary
materials date as far back as the Egyptians, Tibetans and
Chinese. Through a process called “convection,” softer waxes
and toxins will be drawn out of the ear, oxidized and turned
into vapors during the procedure. Any residue will be left
behind inside the candle. Ear candling is a great example of
how a simple, natural therapy can be used to effectively solve
many ear problems.
